Don is Executive Director of CrossLife Ministries in Vero Beach, Florida. He received the call of God on his life and attended Bible College, earning a Bachelors of Arts degree in Biblical Education. He was ordained as a minister of the gospel of God in 1981 and pastored churches in Pennsylvania, Virginia and Florida. In 2001, upon completion of the CrossLife Residency program, Don joined the staff as a counselor. In July, 2003, he became Director of CrossLife. He also continues to counsel and teach in all levels of our training. He has traveled the world teaching the message of grace, in such places as Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Mongolia, China, Costa Rica and the Philippines.
Don’s passion is to share the “Christ life” truth— that believers might come to know Jesus Christ as Savior, Lord and LIFE!
Sam Hjalmeby is the President and Founder of Samuel Jan Homes, a Vero Beach based custom home builder. He lives in Vero with his wife and seven children. Sam was first introduced to CrossLife in 2005 when it profoundly changed his life and his understanding of God’s grace. Over the years, the truths taught by CrossLife has helped him navigate through both his personal and professional life. Upon being asked to join the Board of Directors in 2016, he jumped at the opportunity in hopes to help spread the CrossLife message.
Jonathan Lones is vice president of aircraft sales for Flightline Group, Inc. headquartered in Tallahassee. Jonathan received an Associate of Arts degree from the University of Central Florida and is an FAA-licensed pilot. He is a past board member of the Florida Aviation Business Association.
Flightline is an authorized dealer for Piper Aircraft and Mahindra Aerospace and operates a Part 145 FAA repair station at Tallahassee International Airport (TLH). The company was founded in 1982 and launched the area’s first hospital-based aeromedical helicopter program, Life-Flight. Flightline then ventured into air taxi charter service operating several aircraft including a Learjet and later opened a full-service FBO in 1991. They were awarded their Piper Aircraft and Mahindra Aerospace dealerships in 1999 and 2012, respectively.
Born in North Miami Beach, Jonathan now resides in Vero Beach with his wife and four children. He is a member and past chairman of First Covenant Church in Vero Beach. Jonathan received counseling from CrossLife is 2008 and has been a board member since 2009.
Patti G. Metz, CPA, MSA is managing member of her own company, PGM Accounting & Consulting, LLC. She provides accounting and tax services to individuals and businesses throughout Indian River and Union counties. She has held positions with the State of Florida Office of the Auditor General and Orange County, FL Comptroller. Pat has been an accounting manager in two not-for- profit education organizations, Central Florida Bible College (now Johnson University-Florida) and Gifford Youth Achievement Center, and a community property management company. She has worked extensively in public accounting in Asheville, NC,Winter Park, FL and Vero Beach, FL where she performed sales tax audits, supervised year-end CIRA reviews and audits, prepared tax returns for individuals, corporations, trusts and estates,and payroll, and prepared/reviewed monthly financial statements.
Pat received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Florida Technological University (now University of Central Florida) and was awarded a master of science in accounting from the University of Central Florida. In 1995 she acquired her State of Florida CPA license.
Raised in Orlando, FL, Pat now resides in Lake Butler, FL.
H. Warren Patten discovered Cross Life Ministries in 2008 through the leading of the Holy Spirit. Through the teachings at Cross Life, the activity of Jesus Christ was refined in Warren's life and the heavy weight he carried was lifted. Warren and his wife Edna attended Advanced Discipleship Training and began teaching. Warren now serves on the board of Cross Life Ministries.
Karen was born and raised in Alabama and attended the University of Alabama where she studied Computer Science. For the next eleven years she co-owned and managed two large franchises based out of Birmingham, AL. In 2009 she began homeschooling her three daughters and relocated to Florida the same year. She was a regional manager for an international homeschool organization which entailed event planning, recruiting directors and developing and managing homeschool communities in the East Coast Florida region. Karen is the project manager for a local digital marketing firm where she employs various internet skills including technical suppport, programming and content management.
Her oldest daughter (20) is working on her bachelor's degree at the University of Central Florida, her middle daughter (18) attends Full Sail University in Orlando, FL, and her youngest (9) is in fourth grade.
