...that others may live!

THE CrossLife FELLOWSHIP

CrossLife meets on Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM for a Breakfast Fellowship.

Why a breakfast fellowship?

The purpose of the ministry of CrossLife is to help a Christian understand their identity in Christ. The center point or point of reference of the gospel and what it means to be a Christian is Jesus Christ. Christianity begins and ends with the “Cross-Life” of Jesus!

Everything that CrossLife offers (fellowship gatherings, personal counseling, leadership training, and worldwide mission opportunities) is based on Galatians 2:20: "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me."

The question may be asked: “Is CrossLife Fellowship a church?” The answer is NO. We have no desire to become a traditional, institutional, religious church. The participants of CrossLife’s Breakfast Fellowship are a unique group of caring believers sharing with one another what God is doing in and through them, and encouraging one another to recognize and operate consistently within their identity in Christ. It is a fellowship where everyone can share, ask questions and learn in a friendly and interactive atmosphere. It is a biblical “koinonia” of believers. The Greek word for “koinonia” means a fellowship, a partnership, communion, or participation in relationship that is built around what each participant has in common. Our common-unity at CrossLife Fellowship is Jesus Christ as we function together in the “fellowship of faith,” the Church.

Christian fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son, Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit; a personal relationship of participation with the Triune God and with one another in the Christian community. This is the “common-unity” John refers to when he says, “If we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another” (1 John 1:7).

The participants of CrossLife Fellowship assemble together as the church in its original meaning ‘ekklesia’; translated “called out to assemble together for the benefit of the people.” In that sense we are part of the universal assembly of God’s people. Being a part of a fellowship of believers in the Body of Christ, the Church, is not a passive experience of being a spectator of what God is doing. Christians go beyond “playing it safe” in their comfort zone, and will actively involve themselves in the costly interaction of participation in the lives of others.

The motto of our fellowship of believers is, "...that others may live!" Genuine Christian love and the true fellowship of Christians is always for others. We do not exist to acquire more accurate knowledge or to become spiritually bloated, but to share the life of Jesus Christ with others.

CrossLife Fellowship has no organizational membership demarcating who is “in” and who is “out.” Our emphasis is not on personal commitment, for we only want to participate together in what God is committed to do in us for others. Join us any Sunday that you are able. Those who participate in our fellowship should never have to feel out of place for coming as you are, whenever you like.
